Inert aluminum oxide ceramic balls are widely used in many fields, including petroleum, chemical engineering, fertilizer production,  gas and environmental protection. They are used as covering and supporting materials of catalysts in reaction vessels and as packing in towers.

They have stable chemical features and a low rate of water absorption, resist high temperatures and high pressure, and also resist the corrosion of acid, alkali and some other organic solvents. They can stand the change in temperature during the manufacturing process.

So, how to use inert alumina balls?

First, remove all the sundries in the tower, and draw a horizontal line on the inner wall of the tower according to the top height of each layer of the packing ball and catalyst, as the pavement height mark. Carefully check the inert ceramic balls of different particle sizes, and store them separately according to the particle size marked on the product packaging for paving.

When paving the bottom layer of packing balls, care should be taken to avoid damage to other systems in the tower. The inert ceramic balls to be loaded should be hoisted into the tower and then spread; when the inert ceramic balls are spread to the level of the top surface of the layer, spread evenly with a shovel. The paving personnel should not stand or walk directly on the supporting material. Stand on a plank. The number of operators operating in the tower should be as few as possible to avoid the movement of the packing spherical layer. After the next layer of paving is completed, a layer of catalyst or inert ceramic balls can be paved.

The thickness of each layer of inert alumina ceramic balls should be accurate and uniform, and the surface should be scraped with a shovel or scraper, and the height should be the same as the horizontal line marked with the paving height.
