Inert ceramic balls (also known as inert porcelain balls) are an important industrial material with a wide range of applications in several fields. The following is a detailed introduction about inert ceramic ball:

I. Definition and Characteristics

1. Definition: Inert ceramic ball is a kind of inactive ceramic ball, with high strength, high chemical stability and thermal stability, can be resistant to high temperature, high pressure and corrosion of acid, alkali, salt and various organic solvents.

2. Classification: according to the aluminum content can be divided into ordinary ceramic ball, medium aluminum ceramic ball, high alumina ceramic ball and so on. Among them, high alumina porcelain ball takes Al2O3 powder as the main raw material, while medium alumina porcelain ball takes kaolin, Guizhou clay and high white aluminum clay as the raw material.

Second, the production process

The production process of inert porcelain ball mainly includes the following steps:

1. formulated according to the requirements of water absorption, aluminum content, anti-strength, and then ball milling.

2. through the filter press and vacuum machine to produce inert ceramic ball clay bars, during the period to ensure that the moisture is appropriate.

3. Cutting of the clay bars (the size of the bars is equal to the size of the inert ceramic balls to be produced) and selection of the extrusion molding process for accurate molding.

4. The semi-finished products are dried in a drying room or left to dry naturally before being loaded into the kiln.

5. High-temperature sintering of the semi-finished inert ceramic balls. 6.

6. Screening and packaging of the finished product.

Application areas

Inert ceramic balls have a wide range of applications in industrial production, mainly in the following areas:

1. As catalyst carrier and filler: inert ceramic ball can provide suitable surface and pore structure, so that the catalyst can be better dispersed in the carrier, thus improving the utilization rate of catalyst and reaction efficiency. At the same time, it can also be used as filler to increase the volume and density of the mixture and improve the fluidity and separation performance of the mixture.

2. Petroleum, chemical, fertilizer and other industries: in the reaction tower, the porcelain ball can effectively prevent the catalyst from forming groove flow and bias flow in the tower, so that the contact area of the catalyst is larger and the reaction effect is improved. At the same time, the porcelain ball also has good thermal conductivity, which can help the temperature distribution inside the reaction tower is more uniform.

3. Sewage treatment and exhaust gas treatment: in environmental protection engineering, porcelain ball can adsorb and remove harmful substances, improve water quality and air quality.

4. Other special fields: for example, insulating materials and encapsulation materials for electronic components in the fields of electric power, electronics, communications, etc.; high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant building materials and smelting furnace linings in the fields of construction and metallurgy.
